What is compression clothing?
Compression garments are scientifically designed body garments, that when applied to specific body parts in a balanced and accurate way, accelerate blood flow. This allows more oxygen to flow through your working muscles, boosting your performance and helping you work at a higher rate for longer.
Compression sportswear is especially useful for people who have to stand for long periods, or people with poor circulation. Compression garments worn on the legs can help prevent deep vein thrombosis and reduce swelling, especially while traveling.
Compression wear is also worn by some athletes during exercise to prevent chafing and rashes, and post exercise to ease muscle stiffness and quicken recovery time.
The main benefits of compression gear is that it keeps the muscles warm to prevent muscle strain and fatigue, and wick sweat away from the body to prevent chafing and rashes. In addition, there is some evidence that compression clothes may enhance athletic performance. Compression apparel also helps to keep undergarments in place.
Compression Clothing – I LOVE the most? SIX30
When I think of compression clothing the first thing that comes to mind from my own experience is skin tight plain black shiny clothing that is hard to get on and hard to get off and that I sometimes have to jump around and hop in order to get off. That also can look completely ridiculous when worn on it’s own and I think it’s not a look that every person can pull off.
So as you can imagine when I discovered SIX30 the first thing I loved was the bright, colourful feel good patterns that didn’t standout saying look at me, look at me, I am wearing compression clothing it was way more trendy, stylish and to be ”honest if you wore SIX30 to the gym or on your morning run, walk, or bike ride no one would even know you were wearing compression clothing and that’s what I liked about it that you could get both the benefits of compression clothing but still with that beautiful feel good activewear edge.
As one of Australia’s Leading Active Living bloggers I was asked to put SIX30 to the test so I did loads of different exercises wearing SIX30 and I have to say it was really hot humid day but just like the marketing says it did wick my sweat away and all in all it felt good on, plus the pretty pattern I choose made me feel like I didn’t even have compression clothing on. So it’s nice to know that should for whatever medical or training reasons you need to wear compression clothing that when you wear SIX30 you will be still getting all of the benefits but looks really trendy and amazing at the same time too. I love the fact that I didn’t feel uncomfortable or was able to get the SIX30 compression clothing on and off with ease and that has never happened before, for me.
